Soul Men (Weinstein Films) features Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac as former soul singers from the Memphis Stax Records era who travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous former band leader. A comedy inspired by Sam & Dave, the film also stars the late great Isaac Hayes as himself. Frank wrote and produced the Grammy Nominated Title Track “Soul Music” featuring R&B superstar Anthony Hamilton. The song was created to represent a 1967 Classic radio hit from Stax Records, in the style of Sam Cooke. The soundtrack album is on Concord/Stax Records.
